Today, I am featuring the work of my high school friend, Suellen Franze. She is a sewer and quilter extraordinaire. But, most of all, she is an artist. I had a great trip last year visiting her and seeing her sewing room which is wonderful. I recently began the task of going through everything in my house and getting rid of some things. I found a few of my grandmother’s doilies that she had crocheted years (I mean years) ago. Crochet doilies are not my style. So, I mailed them to Suellen knowing that she would think of something wonderful to do with them. Just a few weeks ago, I got an email with this picture and the caption “Happy Easter”.
What a beautiful table runner for Easter! It looks like she just attached them with a small stitch and voila!
Here are some other Suellen creations…first, my little Cathedral Window Quilt that is hanging on the wall in my guest bedroom.
Isn’t that a darling quilt? Its all made by hand…
Here is her newest hand quilted wall hanging of kimonos…
Thanks, Suellen, for letting me share your work. Love you!!
